Foxlane Homes Philadelphia is looking for an Interior Designer to join our growing team! The Interior Designer will work with ownership to understand project requirements and over all design vision. This position will be based out of our Fort Washington, PA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with ownership, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and objectives for multifamily apartment complexes and single-family homes.
  • Assist project team with interior finish selections, such as flooring, lighting, countertops, etc.
  • Develop timeline in coordination with architects and contractors and determine target dates for deliverables.
  • Evaluate floor plans and modify current designs to be aesthetically and architecturally appealing.
  • Work with project team and vendors to balance design and cost efficiency.
  • Understand and effectively communicate blueprints and site plans.
  • Prepare and maintain interior design plan documents such as finish schedules and specifications.
  • Manage overall vision and style direction through design development, product specification, and installation.
  • Work with contractors to create realistic schedule/timeline of job to ensure all parties have same expectations.
  • Key in data completed at selections consultation, generate reports, and move project to the next step in the process.
  • Research and stay current on trends and styles within the industry.
  • Coordinate material requirements with procurement.
  • Update architectural and estimating with specs.
  • Assist with sourcing (procurement).
  • SKU selection.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Interior Design, or equivalent.
  • Residential construction experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Knowledge of kitchen design and interior design.
